Have you heard the buzz about new and upcoming Cedar Park Breweries? We are lucky to have three amazing locally owned craft breweries right here in Cedar Park, Texas. Craft beer has been a trend in many larger cities for the last decade and it has become a booming industry as consumers look towards locally produced, unique and quality goods. Cedar Park is no exception when it comes to brewery growth and I’m sure we can expect more to join as brewers look for affordable space and thirsty clientele.
If you are a beer enthusiast, you have probably visited many of Austin’s small breweries. In recent years, dozens of hip and trendy craft beer spots have popped up in and around Austin from small nano size to large scale operations. Here is a Guide to Austin’s Breweries in case you missed any.
Now you don’t have to venture into Austin to find unique craft brews. Cedar Park Breweries offer locals cool venues and great beer right here.
Red Horn Coffee House and Brewing Co. offers fresh house roasted coffees and house brewed beer. Coffee and Brew? Who knew? You don’t want to miss this Cedar Park gem. And Red Horn was the first of Cedar Park Breweries. Get your morning coffee fix and enjoy fresh made, locally sourced pastries as well as delicious sandwiches and salad. When it’s 5’oclock somewhere, there is plenty of great beer on tap. Come to Red Horn on Tuesday evenings at 7:30 for Geeks Who Drink Trivia Night with beer specials and pizza from Bellini’s. Whitestone Brewery is the largest brewery in Cedar Park. Located in the Rail Yard on Whitestone Blvd, this brewery offers one of the best shady patios in town for hanging out with friends on a hot day. The patio overlooks the rail yard with great views of the trains from Austin Steam Train Association. The Tap Room is open Monday-Thursday 2pm-11pm and Friday-Sunday 12pm-12am. Former software exec and home brewer turned brewery owner, Ryan Anglen, set out to make his dreams come true. Brewmaster Kris Gray and Anglen have created an impressive beer lovers venue for Cedar Park. Complete with food trucks, live music and a beer garden, locals don’t have to travel to Austin anymore for the cool Austin vibe. Check their website for events and food truck info. Event Info.
Irionsight Brewers is a small nano brewery in Cedar Park with an eclectic selection of beer styles. They currently offer 4 unique year-round beers on tap as well as seasonal selections. The brewery was recently established by two brew enthusiast friends with a mission to produce high quality craft beer on a small scale. They also want to create a community centric business by providing a casual place for beer lovers to gather and enjoy finely crafted, small batch beers.
When you see the cans of beer on their Facebook page you may be asking yourself “cans?” Over the years, beer has trended to glass bottles and away from cans, except for established commercial labels. But did you know that there is a new move towards cans in the craft beer industry? The main reasons for using cans are sustainability, freshness and portability. Located just past Anderson Mill off 1431 headed towards Jonestown, the brewery is situated in a small warehouse park on the outskirts of Cedar Park. The brewery is currently open every Friday from 5-9 and for events as it gets established. There are also a few places in Cedar Park where you can pick up your craft beer or sit down and enjoy it with your friends.
Hamrick’s Market, located at 401 Cypress Creek Road, is a convenience store and drive-thru that sells a large selection of craft beers. The Dig Pub, also located in the same plaza at 401 Cypress Creek Road, specializes in craft beer and boutique wines. If you want to enjoy a pint with your favorite pooch, you can also visit Dog House Drinkery in Leander where they serve local craft beers in a dog friendly environment. All Cedar Park Breweries are locally owned and started by passionate beer enthusiasts with a lot of help from their supportive family and friends. The great thing about craft breweries is that they are small scale and local, making for closer relationships with the communities they serve. So, get out and support your local breweries and have some fun getting to know your neighbors too.
