Do you like a good scare? If you are searching for the scariest and most thrilling haunted houses in central Texas, look no further. I’ll admit, you won’t be seeing me at any of these attractions! I’ll stick to the kiddie versions.

Cedar Park High School Haunted House
October 27-28,2023
Presented by the High School Theatre Department & Booster Club, this frightful fundraiser is one that everyone looks forward to each year. Check the website for updated event details for 2023. Purchase tickets online when available or at the door at $15 each.

 A Grizzly Haunted House!

Back by Popular Demand, A Grizzly Haunted House! Presented by the Glenn High School Theatre Program.    Tickets are $10 at the door. Concessions and Swag are available for purchase. This is a fundraising event that benefits the theatre students of Glenn High School.

Pumpkin Nights at Pioneer Farms
September 21-October 30,2023
This spooky pumpkin trail is family friendly and loads of fun. Pumpkin Nights was founded in 2016 at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds with a mission to showcase local artists and celebrate the most magical time of year without the gore and scares. Now, Pumpkin Nights runs through the month of October in many cities across the US. At Pumpkin Nights, you will venture along a half-mile walking path, where you’ll discover the Forbidden City, a Pirate’s Cove, and more fantastical lands built using over 5,000 hand-carved real and artificial pumpkins. The celebration continues with entertainment and games in The Village, our festival area. Advanced Ticket purchase required.

House of Torment

Instilling 20 years of fear in Austin, this mega haunted house is the mother of all haunted houses. If you like gory and gruesome and are scared out of your wits, this is the place for you. Three different themed haunts in 40,000 square feet of torment; The Abominations, Tormented and Return to Illusion Manor! Purchase tickets online. WARNING! Event may be too intense for young children and is not recommended for children under the age of 12.

Austin Ghost Tours
Austin Ghost Tours began walking the streets and telling the stories of downtown Austin over 20 years ago. We are always surprised and welcoming of the many spirits, old and new, that choose to follow along and listen. 50 percent of the people reading this or taking a tour have had the experience that they believe is a ghost. This is a fun, family and pet-friendly, spooky adventure. Reservations Required.

Hutton Lane in Blockhouse Creek is the perfect backdrop for mayhem on All Hallows Eve. There is a chill in the air and darkness descends. Welcome to the LAST STOP on your trick-or-treating tour. For adults and children alike the night becomes a playground of nightmares. The whole street is alive with a celebration of Halloween. Many families on Hutton Lane participate in the festivities. Come if you dare, there is candy to spare, and we can’t wait to hear you scream as your fears surround you from the shadows.

Fatal Fear

Let this haunted house take you on a terrifying journey through Mortis Manor. With its elaborate sets, terrifying creatures, and talented actors, Fatal Fear is sure to scare you. Along the way, you’ll encounter a cast of gruesome characters, including the monstrous Silas, the vile daughters of James Mortis, and the deranged Dr. Necrostein himself. It is recommended for ages 12 and up, and children under 10 are not admitted.

We’re holding it down with a pre-Halloween party on the 27th from 10pm to 2am at The Belmont. Expect hundreds of party-goers decked out in their Halloween hotness singing, dancing, and drinking with 3 DJs battling for your attention all-night long. Costumes are not required, but they’re strongly suggested and a whole lot of fun!
