Lakewood Park Leander

Lakewood Park Leander Texas

Leander’s newest and largest City park, Lakewood Park, is one you don’t want to miss. Just minutes north of Cedar Park, this beautiful lakeside park offers many pristine amenities to enjoy any time of year. In 2015, with support from Texas Parks and Wildlife and the Williamson County Park Foundation, the City of Leander acquired 125 acres for the development of Lakewood Park. Opening in 2020, the park has become the crown jewel of Leander and host to several City events already. The park is open daily from 6:30 am to 8:00 pm so you can enjoy early morning fishing, a lakeside picnic or a sunset stroll.

Lakewood Park is nestled at the back of the newly constructed Crystal Springs community off of Crystal Falls Parkway between Ronald Reagan Blvd and 183 Toll Road. As you drive through the neighborhood to get to the park, you can admire the row homes that create a welcoming small-town vibe. On the left, you will see the community pool. Continue to the back of the neighborhood until you see the entrance to Lakewood Park.

There are several large parking areas as you continue through Lakewood Park. The first parking lot on the left is the easiest way to access the playground, pavilion, restrooms, and skate park. The playground is loads of fun for all ages and abilities. With plenty of benches for the parents and picnic tables around the playground, it would be the perfect spot for a playdate or even a birthday party. The splash park is open from the first weekend in April to the last weekend in October from 9:00 am to 7:45 pm.
