Airports near Cedar Park

The unique charm of Cedar Park with its central Texas location and proximity to the Texas Hill Country draws people from all over the world. Cedar Park is an NW suburb of Austin,  the State Capitol of Texas. Being adjacent to Austin promotes easy travel within Texas, the country, and the world through Austin’s International Airport. Of the Airports near Cedar Park, Austin-Bergstrom International Airport – AUS will offer the largest access to airlines.

With new toll roads like SH45, SH130, and 183 Toll, getting to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport – AUS is even easier than ever. Soon 183 Toll will extend from Cedar park to the airport, making the total travel time to the airport around 20-25 minutes. There are also several smaller executive airports and Fixed-Based Operators (FBOs) near Cedar Park.

Breakaway Airport

Breakaway Airport, also known as Hank Sasser Airport, is the only airport located in Cedar Park in the heart of the Breakaway Park fly-in community. This private airport community has thrived for decades and has always been a place where the freedom of flight and the pursuit of happiness are celebrated. This airport is privately owned and used by members. Must have permission to land. Breakaway Airport has one runway with private hangars located on either side of the runway, many of which are attached to private residences. There are no air traffic control facilities on-site.

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport – AUS

Austin-Bergstrom International Airport – AUS is located in southeast Austin. It has been renovated and improved over the years and offers many nice amenities such as great local restaurants, good shopping, and nice bars. It’s a pretty cool airport to get there early and mill around. Being the live music capital of Texas, of course, there is often live music throughout the bars. The airport’s interior is aesthetically pleasing and well-maintained. There are several private lounges for the frequent flier. The rental car areas are conveniently located onsite and offsite by shuttle bus. Several hotels are adjacent to the airport, but there are also plenty of options with shuttle service nearby. The South Terminal is now open, but you can not directly access it from the main terminal. If you fly Spirit, Frontier, or other small airlines and are booked through the South Terminal, be prepared to drive or arrange transport as it’s about 15 minutes from the main airport. A must do before or after a flight is to visit an awesome nearby Texas Brewery, Live Oak Brewing Company. Just minutes from the airport, you will be pleasantly surprised by the vibe, atmosphere and beer!

Austin Executive Airport

Austin Executive Airport is a public-use airport in Travis County, 14 miles northeast of Austin, immediately southeast of Pflugerville, and north of Manor. It was known as Bird’s Nest Airport until 2011. This is a fantastic place to fly your private plane with easy access to Austin without dealing with a busy international airport. The airport features a very contemporary FBO with excellent amenities! The airport facilities are top-notch with many services such as concierge services, rental cars, detailing, maintenance services, crew lounge, and even a flight school. Consistently ranked as a top FBO in Texas, Austin Executive Airport’s Fixed Base Operator (FBO), Henriksen Jet Center, was recognized as one of the top FBOs in Texas in both 2018 and 2019.

Georgetown Executive Airport

Georgetown Executive Airport at Johnny Gantt Field serves general and corporate aviation, which offers full-service amenities, aviation fuel, avionics sales, servicing, and aircraft maintenance. Conference rooms are available for meetings. It is still accessible to pilots based at the airport, roving pilots, and companies using the airport. Georgetown is close to Cedar Park and is the county seat of Williamson County. With a cute historic downtown and lots of shopping and dining, it’s the perfect place to fly in and explore the NW Austin metro area.

Lago Vista TX – Rusty Allen Airport

Rusty Allen Airport is a publicly owned, municipal airport located in unincorporated Travis County, Texas, United States. Fun airport to fly into for low-priced self-service fuel with great facilities next to scenic Lake Travis.

Lakeway Airpark

Lakeway Airpark is a small private airstrip on Lake Travis. Lakeway Airpark was chartered in 1995 (from an original private ranch runway built in 1962). It is not for profit and is run by its membership which consists of homeowners at the airpark, aircraft owners that live in Lakeway*, and boosters of the airport. The airpark sits on 39 acres and boasts a 4000′ runway, ramp, fuel, small terminal building, bathroom, and private hangars. About 30 homes have direct taxi access to the runway. It is open from sunrise to sunset, protects its quiet and peaceful reputation, and welcomes pilots and visitors alike.

Atlantic Aviation

Atlantic Aviation is an FBO located in the South Terminal of Austin Bergstrom. Atlantic AUS will show you what happens when Texas pride meets the spirit of Atlantic Aviation. With their concierge services and first-class amenities, they will make sure you enjoy your time spent on the ground while they take care of all of your aircraft needs. And if you wish to explore the “live music capital of the world,” they can recommend some favorite, local hot spots. They have great amenities like meeting rooms and a dining area with complimentary coffee and vending machines. They also offer crew cars or shuttle service.
