Have you heard the buzz about Cedar Park Breweries? We are lucky to have some amazing locally-owned craft breweries and watering holes right here in Cedar Park, Texas. Craft beer has been a trend in many larger cities for the last decade and it has become a booming industry as consumers look towards locally produced, unique, and quality goods. Cedar Park is no exception when it comes to brewery growth and I’m sure we can expect more to join as brewers look for affordable space and thirsty clientele.

If you are a beer enthusiast, you have probably visited many of Austin’s breweries. In recent years, dozens of hip and trendy craft beer spots have popped up in and around Austin from small nano-size to large-scale operations.

Now you don’t have to venture into Austin to find unique craft brews. These Cedar Park Breweries and bars offer locals cool venues and great beer right here at home.

Red Horn Coffee House and Brewing Co. offer fresh house-roasted coffees and house-brewed beer. Coffee and Brew? Who knew? You don’t want to miss this Cedar Park gem. And Red Horn was the first of Cedar Park Breweries. Get your morning coffee fix and enjoy freshly made, locally sourced pastries as well as delicious sandwiches and salads. Whitestone Brewery

Whitestone Brewery is the largest brewery in Cedar Park. Located in the Rail Yard on Whitestone Blvd, this brewery offers one of the best shady patios in town for hanging out with friends on a hot day. The patio overlooks the rail yard with great views of the trains from the Austin Steam Train Association. The Tap Room is open Monday-Thursday 2pm-11pm and Friday-Sunday 12pm-12am. Former software exec and home brewer turned brewery owner, Ryan Anglen, set out to make his dreams come true. Brewmaster Kris Gray and Anglen have created an impressive beer lover’s venue for Cedar Park. The Dig is a favorite spot with my friends after an evening of PickleBall. We have become sweaty middle age regulars. It’s nice to sit outside under the picnic tables with a cold draft and some delicious bar food. They have excellent pretzels and my favorite is freshly made chips with a blue cheese sauce.

Oasis Texas Brewing Company

Located next to the famous Oasis Restaurant, the Brewing Company offers the same spectacular views – and way better food.

Hedgehog Brewing

Founded by brothers Chris and Johnathan Harris use Wild Hill Country yeast to brew a unique farmhouse ale. Come and check out their bright and hoppy ales at their beer garden Friday-Sunday.

Slacker Brewing Co.

If you are looking for unique Texas craft bottled and canned beer, The Brewtique is the place to go. This bottle shop has local, regional, and national craft beer that you can grab and go. Or you can stay and enjoy over 160+ cold singles on site! With these many options, it can take some time to find the one you like, but luckily the owner is super friendly and helpful and will guide you to the beer you desire. Check them out! They are located next to The Dig Pub on Cypress Creek.

All Cedar Park Breweries are locally owned and started by passionate beer enthusiasts with a lot of help from their supportive family and friends. The great thing about craft breweries is that they are small-scale and local, making for closer relationships with the communities they serve. So, get out and support your local breweries and have some fun getting to know your neighbors too!

More Brew and Fun

If you want to enjoy a pint with your favorite pooch, you can also visit Dog House Drinkery in Leander where they serve local craft beers in a dog-friendly environment. Check the Dog House Rules before you go. Within the Whole Foods 365 store, there is one of Austin’s favorite restaurants and bars, Easy Tiger. You can get the same delicious sausages, sandwiches, pretzels, and fresh baked bread along with a great selection of draft and bottled beer. Some other local watering holes serving local and unique brews are Maggorie’s Sports Bar, BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, Leander Beer Market, and The Post.
