Indigo Ridge is a new development coming soon to Cedar Park that will incorporate living, retail, office, dining, and recreational opportunities in one mixed use development. It will be a one-stop destination for people looking for modern working, shopping, living, and dining experience. Developers have been in talks with the City for many years about this project and things seem to be moving forward again.
The Indigo Ridge Development in Cedar Park will satisfy the needs of a city that boasts of the second quickest growing workforce in the US. The project lies on 155 acres and is situated at the intersection of County Road 175 (Sam Bass Rd) and Whitestone Boulevard (1431). Situated right between Cedar Park and Round Rock, the development will serve both communities. Indigo Ridge is set to attract large-scale employers and educated professionals in one town center locale.
To proceed with the project development, Indigo Ridge Development Partners, the US Tennis Association, and the Cedar Park City Council entered a memorandum of understanding on March 14, 2019. The project developers (Indigo Ridge Development Partners) estimate it will bring in $138.82 million in revenue in twenty years.
The US Tennis Association (USTA) is a nonprofit organization with more than 600 organization members and 52,000 individual members. USTA Texas intends to bring its facilities and headquarters to Indigo Ridge, according to the statement released on March 14, 2019. USTA Indigo Ridge will attract more corporate relocations, thus boosting tax revenue.
Indigo Ridge Employment Opportunities
The project is divided into two parts; the eastern side, which holds the Village District, and the western side, which hosts the West District. The Village District focuses on lifestyle amenities, while the West District focuses on employment amenities, such as manufacturing.
The project will create one of the largest employment hubs in northwest Austin. The project developers anticipate they will engage about 500 workers in the construction operations. The developers intend to utilize the best local contractors to guarantee the best results.
What to Expect
The neighborhood limestone elements, together with the local farming and ranching heritage, have significantly influenced Indigo Ridge’s design.
The modern business and recreation center will be completed in six phases. Phase one will be completed in 18-24 months and will see the introduction of two new roads- the Vista Isle Drive West and the Indigo Ridge Boulevard. In addition, deceleration lanes will be introduced on Whitestone during this phase.
The first phase will also see the construction of commercial development spaces and tennis facilities. Phase 2 to 6 will be completed by 2025, according to the memorandum of understanding.
The above details were true as of September 2021. Stay tuned for more updates.
