Veteran’s Memorial Pool is the best place to cool off in Cedar Park and beat the grueling Texas summer temperatures. Veteran’s Memorial Pool is fun for all ages and offers areas for any swimming ability and plenty of shade to take a break from the sun.
Veteran’s Memorial Pool is located at 2525 W. New Hope Drive in Cedar Park, TX 78613. The pool is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. At the beginning and end of season it is only open on weekends and midsummer hours are daily starting at noon. Check the current Pool Schedules at the City of Cedar Park website.
Veterans Memorial Pool is a 8,300 sq. ft. activity pool with a drop slide, jumping platform and water playground. Additional amenities include family slide, cargo net log crossing, water basketball, and rentable poolside shade.
It does get pretty crowded and camps also use the facility, but even on crowded days, the kids have fun because it’s such a large space. The maximum capacity is 450.
There is an admission to the pool. Children under 3 are free. Ages 4-8 are $2. Ages 9-17 are $4. Adults $5 and Seniors are $2. You can also buy a Season Pass at the Cedar Park Recreation Center or at Veteran’s Memorial and Milburn Pool kiosks. The pool is also available for rent during non-public hours.
There are a lot of lifeguards on duty and they do a good job of keeping things under control. However, with it being so crowded and some deeper areas, it’s always smart to keep an eye on the kids yourself. The good news is that parents are welcome to splash and swim too! It’s a great way to cool off. Just don’t forget about the giant dump bucket!
Veteran’s Memorial Pool is just one of Cedar Park’s three public pools. The other two pools are at Elizabeth Milburn Pool located at 1901 Sun Chase Boulevard and Buttercup Creek Pool located at 411 Twin Oaks Trail.
Other fun places to cool off in Cedar Park are at the Brushy Creek Splash Pad, the Quarry Splash Pad and the Twin Lakes YMCA pool. Many neighborhoods in Cedar Park also offer community pools for residents.
