We’re lucky to have so many talented musicians locally, and they’re more than willing to share their talents with all of you. Whether you’re looking for a laid-back spot to enjoy some local music or you want to dance the night away with some of your favorite bands, the Cedar Park Live Music scene is pretty hopping.
Haute Spot
1501 E New Hope Dr in Cedar Park
Intimate venue with a great view of the stage and bands from any angle. The place offers a full bar and wine list, as well as a casual menu and lots of outdoor yard games. Check out their Calendar of Events for upcoming concerts, both big names and popular local bands. There is even a hotel within walking distance to make it a great night on the town.
Lakeline Park
1510 Alexis Dr. in Cedar Park
This Cedar Park Live Music venue is at a City of Cedar Park facility with a brand new amphitheater that hosts city-sponsored concert series and also is available for rent for private events. Enjoy the peace and quiet of this beautiful new lakeside park and then relax at a family-friendly concert. Bring a picnic, but no alcohol. Check the City Website for upcoming public events.
Lucky Rabbit
18626 Ranch Rd 1431 in Jonestown
This gem in the Hill Country is just minutes from Cedar Park! Lucky Rabbit has a unique vibe with an indoor stage and an outdoor beer garden. Enjoy their laid-back atmosphere with excellent food. They have a full bar stocked with ice-cold beers, whiskey, and mixed drinks. The spacious outdoor area with lawn games, picnic tables, a dog area, and misters scattered all around makes it the perfect place to hang out under the big shady oaks. If you wish to stay inside, they also have plenty of indoor seating with a view of the stage where they have live music which also plays on outdoor speakers. The school bus that has been turned into a bar in the backyard is also extremely cool. You can listen to live music and sing along with the bands.
Maggie Mae’s
105 W Willis in Leander
You’ll fall in love with this little-known treasure in the heart of Old Town Leander! Fantastic music in a great setting for a night out. Among the reasonably priced drinks, they feature a wonderful assortment of regional beers. They also have a number of games in a separate room for additional amusement. The service is prompt, the staff is friendly and the food is delicious. Check their Facebook page for upcoming bands.
Prohibition ATX
9112 Anderson Mill Rd Ste 400-B in Austin
Just outside of Cedar Park in the Anderson Mill area of North Austin is another hidden gem! The venue is cozy, making it ideal for a date night or getting together with a few friends. They have amazing live music, a superb cook, and a team of amazing mixologists. They bring in some fantastic music too.
Red Horn Coffee House and Brewing Company
13010 W Parmer Ln Ste 800 in Cedar Park
People of all ages are drawn to this place because it offers the vibe of a lively suburban coffee and brew house. Their food selection will never let you down, and they sell high-quality beverages. You can frequently watch local bands perform here, usually on weekends. A combination of a coffee shop and brewery may be found in the atmosphere. The staff is really welcoming and friendly.
Rockin J Piano Bar
601 E. Whitestone Blvd, Ste. 720 in Cedar Park
Wonderful spot for piano music and live bands while enjoying fine wines, great cocktails, and craft beers. Check out their live Piano Show Every Thursday, Friday & Saturday! View their Events Calendar for upcoming shows. Reservations suggested.
Steamer Lane Music
603 Brushy Creek Rd in Cedar Park
This is a real hidden gem! This small Cedar Park Live Music venue is the perfect low-key, non-Austin-like place to see a live show. Live bands perform most weekends, and the stage has an amazing setup that makes the sound and dance floor really shine. All donations go straight to the musicians. You can also bring in your own coolers, chairs, or food. Cool food trucks are on site selling tasty snacks! Check their website for upcoming events.
The Dig Pub
401 Cypress Creek Rd Ste 600 in Cedar Park
The Dig is a favorite spot with my friends after an evening of PickleBall. It’s nice to sit outside under the picnic tables with a cold draft and some delicious bar food. They offer a large range of top-notch, domestically brewed beers served on tap. A must-add to your local pub list! Check their events page for upcoming happenings and live music.
The Fieldhouse at The Crossover
1717 Scottsdale Dr Suite 160 in Leander
Dueling pianos, cover bands, concerts of all genres and other live entertainment is featured at this new indoor and outdoor venue. The Crossover is a sport and entertainment venue where you can spend all day and evening. Check their events page for upcoming happenings.
The Post Tavern
601 W Whitestone Blvd in Cedar Park
If you’re looking for a solid Texas sports bar, look no further! This is Cedar Park’s classic dive bar, with good music, indoor smoking, pool darts, and lots of shuffleboard tables and games. The games are set up to donate some of your winnings to a local charity. They serve fresh, cold beer and mixed drinks with free, delicious meatballs. They also have a great karaoke night on Saturdays.
Twin Creeks Ice House
13400 Fm 2769 in Austin
This rustic, roadside, hole-in-the-wall bar is nestled in the woods between Cedar Park and The Oasis and it will make you feel like you have stepped back in time. The small live music stage on the back patio is perfect for a cold beer while listening to live music. True Texas nostalgia. The tiny venue sits alongside a creek that is lit up at night to add to the ambiance. You can even see some turtles and fish as you enjoy the shady patio during the day. Hours are limited, so check their Facebook Page before you make the drive.
Wild West

Cedar Park Country Music Venue and dance hall with live music, DJ, and dance lessons. Get your Texas Two Step on while listening to live music with some of the area’s best country music bands.
If you can’t find what you want for Cedar Park Live Music, Austin is just a short trip away. You know, the Live Music Capital of the World. Take the Metro Rail from Lakeline station and get off at Plaza Satillo, which is within walking distance of many Live Music venues. There are tons to choose from, but here are a few to get you started,
Antone’s Nightclub
305 E 5th St in Austin
Welcome to Austin’s Home of Blues! This is a sweet local spot for live blues and other acts. You’ll see brilliant performers and musical legends such as John Primer and Langhorne Slim; you can almost feel the history! The staff at the door are funny; they really know how to entertain people. They have 7 days of live music here, including Tuesday nights’ open mic night–and trust me, you will find at least one day you’ll like. Acoustics are good, but when the place fills with people there’s also plenty of room on their dance floor for them to party with good music.
The 04 Center
2701 S Lamar Blvd in Austin
This is a great venue to see a show and have an intimate experience with music. The building was once the Austin New Church, which became The 04 Center after its transformation into a listening room. They bring in high-quality musicians from all over the world! The place has a full bar, and if you reserve a table, they will bring it to you using the app. They also have excellent acoustics, and there are no bad seats! The view and sound are amazing.
Round Rock Live Music is hopping too, especially in Downtown Round Rock. The City of Round Rock has done a fantastic job in the last 10 years revitalizing its old town into a thriving city center with shopping, dining, live music, and more. It has an artsy vibe too. Check out Music on Main Spring 2023 at the Prete Main Street Plaza stage every Wednesday from March 22-June 28, 2023 for free live music, entertainment, and spring activities.
Round Rock Amp
3701 N Interstate Hwy 35 in Round Rock
This is one of the coolest outdoor live music venues and concert halls in Austin. It’s located on the outskirts of the city and is known for hosting indie bands, up-and-coming acts, and local favorites. The VIP Grove provides good acres of seating and a good view of the stage. The venue also has an outdoor stage that hosts performances during the summer months. The bar service is fast; they also have a few food trucks if you want something to eat or a snack. There are plenty of porta potties with hand wash stations throughout the venue grounds so there’s no need to worry about cleanliness or sanitary conditions!
The Water Tank
7309 McNeil Dr in Austin
This is a fantastic outdoor beer garden with a full bar, featuring a fabulous selection of craft beers. They do wonderful crawfish boils during the season and have absolutely fantastic patio area, partially covered by huge umbrellas and awnings with misters, several fans, and a nice stage too! They are dog-friendly and have a dog park at the back with a bunch of dog toys, a faucet for water, and multiple dog bowls around the patio area. You will also surely love the live bands, karaoke nights, and cheering on the local soccer team. Everyone will have fun dancing or singing along!
The Flats
205 N Mays St in Round Rock
This is a great spot for a drink and some good music after long days of work. There’s an indoor and an outdoor bar with seating, a huge lawn, and tons of tables. They serve cold and fresh beer; McConauhaze on tap is one of their specialties. There are plenty of games and activities for first dates and an amazing and spacious patio; live music is performed here as well. Food trucks are on site each night, too.
But if you want something exciting but don’t want to go all out at first, try going to one of the smaller events in Cedar Park or downtown Austin such as open mic nights or local talent competitions. These are great ways to get into the swing of things without spending too much money or time on planning.
