Shop Small Cedar Park
When you are racking your brain trying to think of the perfect gift for a family member, teacher, or friend but you dread the idea of scouring the mall and online shopping doesn’t feel special, think local. If you have grown tired of the same ole’ thing at major retailers, think LOCAL. Not only will you likely find something unique, but you will also be supporting a local small business owner and a member of our community.
Did you know that 2 cents from each shopping dollar goes directly back into our community? The sales tax rate on taxable items sold in Cedar Park is 8.25%. 6.25% goes to the State, but the remaining 2%, or 2 cents, of every dollar you spend stays in Cedar Park. One cent goes into the City’s General Fund, which is used to fund City services such as Police, Fire, Library and Parks and Recreation. All of these services make Cedar Park a great place to live.

LOCAL CONSULTANTS
Many of us have attended a party at a friend’s house for home decor items, clothing, jewelry or cooking supplies. Sometimes we end up buying the obligatory item in support of our friend, because we know they are trying to succeed in a small business venture and we want to be part of their success. Some products we just can’t live without and we look forward to an invite. Well, you don’t have to wait for the next party to buy something. You can shop year round through these local consultants. Since they are local, you can probably arrange local pick up and even save some money on shipping.

The Dig Pub
401 Cypress Creek Road Cedar Park, TX 78613
The Dig is a favorite spot with my friends after an evening of PickleBall. We have become sweaty middle age regulars. It’s nice to sit outside under the picnic tables with a cold draft and some delicious bar food. They have excellent pretzels and my favorite is fresh made chips with a blue cheese sauce.
Blue Corn Harvest

The casual dining atmosphere or their tree-covered patio are the perfect place to kick back and relax on a nice evening. We love Blue Corn Harvest because it’s always fresh and made to order. They also have a large gluten-free menu. The Bloody Mary Bar on Sunday’s is Cedar Park’s best kept secret! Patio dining available.
Cielito Lindo

There are many options for Mexican food in Cedar Park. You can find anything from a roadside stand to a large chain. But, if you are looking for a quiet, quaint, locally owned, sit down and relax kind of atmosphere, Cielito Lindo Mexican Cuisine is the perfect spot. And bonus, their food is excellent! One Yelp review said “If Soto is the Uchi of Cedar Park, Cielito Lindo is the Fonda San Miguel of Cedar Park – but better.” Now that’s a compliment!
