When it rains it pours in Texas! We are so used to outdoor activities being our go-to for our free time, so when it rains, it’s hard to think of what to do for Rainy Day Fun in Cedar Park.
This image always cracks me up. On a rare rainy day, I spotted this guy walking his dog. Since no real Texan has an umbrella on hand, he made the best of it with this pool umbrella. Classic.
Here are some ideas for Rainy Day Fun in Cedar Park and nearby. Like most things in and around Austin nowadays, call ahead and make reservations if needed.
Alamo Drafthouse at Lakeline
14028 US-183 Hwy Building F in Austin
Enjoy a cool retro theater experience with food service. The classic movie posters in the lobby add to the ambiance and they have the best pre-show entertainment. The best part about Alamo is that talking is strictly prohibited, they will remove you! The chairs are comfortable too with tabletops for eating while watching the movie. They have on-demand waiter service throughout the movie by writing down your order on a piece of paper. Foodservice is nice, but it can be a bit distracting although they do a good job trying to be invisible. It’s worth it for the no-talking rule. The menu selection offers burgers and fries, salads, wings, hummus plates, pizza, and desserts. They also serve beer, cocktails, and milkshakes.
