Cedar Park, a suburb of Austin Texas, is quickly becoming a hot spot for sports enthusiasts. Everywhere you look now, Cedar Park Sports opportunities are readily available no matter what game you love. Not only do we have beautiful outdoor recreation through our parks system, we also have many sports-related businesses and venues coming to the area.

The City of Cedar Park has been working hard to attract new businesses to the area that enhance the lives of citizens. With recent additions and new announcements, Cedar Park is shaping up to be a tourism and business destination and very sports-centric. This just adds to many of the reasons Cedar Park is one of Austin’s most desirable suburbs!

The City of Cedar Park offers residents some of the nicest parks in Central Texas loaded with well-maintained amenities and beautifully manicured natural areas.  The city parks offer well-groomed sports fields in many different locations around town. With numerous baseball and soccer fields, basketball courts, several swimming pools, competition volleyball courts and football fields there is no shortage of places to play.

There is also rad skate park, miles of biking trails, hiking trails and even a disc golf course along the Brushy Creek park and trail system. Cedar Park’s newest City park is Lakeline Park, which will be the largest park featuring a large lake for kayaking and fishing, sports fields and a 5k walking track that will meander through scenic natural settings.
The Crossover Sports Complex
The Crossover is one of Cedar Park’s newest sports and entertainment venues. The Crossover has two full-size regulation NHL ice rinks, indoor and outdoor turf fields, sand volleyball, and pickleball courts. The fun doesn’t stop there!  The Crossover  has an amazing sports bar called FieldHouse where you can eat, drink, and watch people play on their outdoor courts. In addition, they have an outdoor entertainment center for live bands. Offerings are ever expanding, so visit often.

H‑E‑B Center Sports and Entertainment Venue
The H-E-B Center is a large indoor arena that hosts many different sports and entertainment events year round. The H-E-B Center is home to two Texas Sports teams, Texas Stars Hockey and Austin Spurs basketball.
Perfect Game HQ
The world’s largest and most comprehensive youth baseball and softball scouting organization, Perfect Game, has chosen Cedar Park as its headquarters.  In an announcement made by the City of Cedar Park, construction of the facility is expected to start June 1, 2022 and expected to be completed by March 2024. The 80 acre sports venue will be located at the corner of New Hope and Ronald Reagan and will feature 16 turf baseball/softball fields. The project will also include 30 acres of commercial development along Ronald Reagan Boulevard with restaurants, retail locations and lodging for travelers and for local to enjoy.
Austin Sports Center
The Austin Sport Center is a large facility available for rentals for sports teams. The facility has an open space of 20,000 sq. ft with enough room for 4 competition or 5 practice volleyball courts or 3 basketball/futsal courts (85ft x 50ft).
Legends Boxing
At Legends Boxing you’re not just getting a unique, fun and total-body workout. You’re also building self-confidence, finding a healthy stress outlet and learning a valuable skill that empowers you!

More to Come! There are more great things to come in Cedar Park for sports enthusiasts. Here are a few announcements to watch.
Spare Birdie
Currently under construction at Cedar Park Town Center, Spare Birdie will be Cedar Park’s one-stop shop for upscale entertainment, featuring a full-service restaurant and bar, bowling, virtual golf, and live music. Located along the lakeside walking path that meanders around the Cedar Park Recreation Center lake park, it will round out a walkable destination area in Cedar Park. The City of Cedar Park will also be starting an expansion and improvement project at Town Center Park that will include a new basketball court, improved paved trails, shade structures, a fishing pier and additional seating. You will be able to make it a whole fun day in this part of town soon! Stay the night at SpringHill Suites on the lake and make it a Staycation.
Golfinity
Amazing place to hang out, learn, and practice. You can hit balls and grab some food while getting some emails and phone calls done. Plus, they have all the amenities, like practice bays, conference rooms, space for social gatherings and parties, and a full restaurant and bar. The coaches are fantastic, and they will help you improve whether you are just beginning or advanced and just need some tips for improvement. It truly is a state-of-the-art golf facility! You can practice any time, no matter what the weather is!
Electric Pickle

Coming soon to Cedar Park, Electric Pickle, will be a 4.6-acre pickleball-themed complex with 12 pickleball courts and a two-story restaurant with a large patio and rooftop bar, according to a June 11 press release. The restaurant’s menu will include “global comfort cuisine” with tacos, pizzas, Korean protein bowls, sandwiches and burgers. A great lawn will host live music, fitness classes and group gatherings. There will also be cornhole and bocce ball courts. The complex will be built near 183A Toll and FM 1431 at 580 Spanish Oak St., Cedar Park.

There was some buzz at one time that the US Tennis Association HQ was coming to Cedar Park at Indigo Ridge off Whitestone and Sam Bass. So far nothing has become of it.
Not to mention all of the top ranked athletic programs through the school district, Leander ISD. State champs for many sports.

Just minutes from Cedar Park is also the new Austin FC MLS Stadium, home to Austin’s Verde!
