Healthy Kids Running Series is a fun recreation program to get kids Pre-K through 8th grade excited about exercising. The program was founded by Jeff Long who wanted to motivate kids to lead a healthy and active lifestyle through a positive introduction to the world of running.
Kids come out to race every Sunday for 5 weeks in the spring and fall. Each week the kids compete for a chance to earn points that accumulate throughout the race. The boys and girls who have the most points in their division get trophies and all kids receive a medal at the last race to commemorate their hard work.
Healthy Kids Running Series runs Spring and Fall at Milburn Park.
Our team at Cedar Park Living are honored to be a Corporate Sponsor for Healthy Kids Running Series along with other community minded local businesses. Stop by to visit us at our table on race days!

Virtual Race
If you are unable to make it in-person or if there is not a race close to you, Healthy Kids Running Series hosts a virtual world race. The Virtual Wold Race allows you to race from where ever you want and however you want. You can walk on sidewalk, run on treadmill, track, grass, whatever you want! The length of the race is still the same and the parents will time their kids and record the times online. If you think this suits you better, check out their website for more info!
Healthy Kids Running Series is always looking for volunteers. So if you are a high school or college student looking for service credit or letter of reference contact them for more info. Or if you are just passionate about running and want to cheer on and help the kids run, sign up here!
