Veterans Day is coming up November 9 and many businesses around Cedar Park are offering discounts to those who have served.

Honor our Veterans by taking a peaceful stroll in remembrance of our fallen heroes at Cedar Park Veterans Memorial Park.

Are you interested in spending an hour relaxing in a float tank? True Rest Float Spa is offering free float therapy sessions to veterans, active-duty military, and reservists to honor their service. On Friday, November 11th, participating True REST locations, including Cedar Park, will close to the public and provide complimentary 60-minute float sessions, designed to offer deep relaxation and holistic wellness. The spa’s serene and luxurious atmosphere, with its dim lighting, minimalist decor, and state-of-the-art float pods, creates the perfect environment for rest and rejuvenation. Known for its commitment to the military community, True REST has already gifted over 17,000 free floats, helping veterans manage stress, anxiety, and PTSD through the soothing effects of flotation therapy. Spots are limited, so veterans are encouraged to book quickly.

The City of Cedar Park Parks & Recreation Presents: Veterans Ceremony! There will be military-themed booths and vehicle displays. The guest speaker will be Command Sergeant Major, James Etheridge. Closing comments will be made by Williamson County Veterans Services Coordinator, Juan Amaya. Concessions will be provided by Lazy G BBQ. The Veterans Ceremony will be held at Veterans Memorial Park (2525 W. New Hope Dr.) from November 9, 2024 8:00 – 9:00am & 9:30 – 10:00am.

Round Rock Parks and Recreation will offer a Veterans Day Celebration. Join the Round Rock Veterans Coalition and the City of Round Rock on Monday, November 11th, for a meaningful day of celebration and honoring our veterans. The Veteran’s Day Celebration will take place at Yonders Point Flag Plaza in Old Settlers Park (3103 Aten Loop), starting at 11:00am. This year’s celebration will begin with a formal ceremony, featuring a presentation by the Stony Point NJROTC and special guest speaker Deputy Commanding General, Edmond ‘Miles’ Brown. Following the ceremony, guests can enjoy refreshments and live music by Michaela Watson. This heartfelt event is an opportunity for our community to come together and show appreciation for the sacrifices made by those who have served our country.

The City will have a formal ceremony beginning at 11am at Flag Plaza with Round Rock Mayor & City Council Members. Immediately following the ceremony, there will be refreshments and entertainment featuring Michaela Watson. At 11:40am – there will be a Fly Over by The Falcon Flight Formation Team.

Nov. 11: The American Legion Veterans Day Celebration
This all-day event to honor service and sacrifice at the American Legion in Round Rock will have breakfast provided by the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 447, lunch provided by H-E-B, a flag retirement at noon and a flag ceremony at 3 p.m. 7 a.m. Free. 1000 N. Nov. 11: Veteran’s Day Bus Tour
Veterans are invited on this bus tour of the city of Pflugerville at no cost in honor of their service. There are about six preselected stops at restaurants where veterans will eat for free, and they will receive free goodie bags and T-shirts. There will also be a free comedy show at 7 p.m. following the bus tour. Noon-5 p.m. Free (veterans), $20 (nonveterans). Nov. 11: Pflugerville’s 2021 annual Veterans Day Ceremony
Though the 10th annual Veterans Day Ceremony was cancelled for the second year in a row due to COVID-19, there will still be a gathering of veterans to honor the day at the Fallen Warrior Memorial in Pfluger Park. Join for a prayer and an hour of fellowship. 11 a.m. Free. 515 City Park Road, Pflugerville. https://pfvetsday.org/
